Yeovil boss Gary Johnson hopes Rohan Ince will be fit for the start of the season after a hard tackle left him injured in his latest outing.

The Chelsea midfielder was helped from the pitch at Newport County on Friday as League One Town recorded a 3-1 win. More will be known of the extent of loanee Ince's knock this week and Johnson said: "It caught him on the shin and when your leg goes numb you always think the worst so we don't know how bad it is. "We keep our fingers crossed that he is going to be fit and available for when the season comes around. Hopefully it's not a really bad injury. He's in a bit of pain and very upset that he has come all this way and missed most of the game. "I really am keeping my fingers crossed because he is going to be a big player for us and we need him."
