Huddersfield Town captain Peter Clarke is keen to pick up where they left off from last season when they travel to Preston this weekend.
The Terriers ended last term in style when a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Sheffield United at Wembley sealed their return to the Championship.
The West Yorkshire outfit face Preston next Monday in their Capital One Cup starter as they prepare for life in the second tier.
Clarke insists Huddersfield will not be taking anything for granted against Graham Westley's rejuvenated side at Deepdale.
"There has been a change around of playing personnel there recently and the manager has done well since arriving midway through last season," Clarke told Sky Sports.
"He has obviously had time to take stock and re-shape the squad to how he sees fit, so they will be determined to be the best that they can be.
"We know that we are going to go there and face a tough evening, but we'll be up for it as well and aim to progress in the competition."
