Sky Sports understands Wycombe have rejected bids from Millwall and Preston for striker Stuart Beavon.
Beavon was Wycombe's shining light last season scoring 25 goals in all competitions for the Chairboys.
His form did not go unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid with Wycombe battling to keep hold of Beavon as a result of their relegation to League Two.
Millwall have held a long-term interest in Beavon, but they have seen their offer for the forward rejected.
Preston have also made Beavon one of their top targets as they look to bring in a new striker, but Wycombe have fended off their opening bid for the 28-year-old.
It remains to be seen if both clubs will come back with new offers for Beavon before the close of the transfer window later this month.
