Foxes stopper ruled out with knee injury

Leicester and Republic of Ireland defender Sean St Ledger has been ruled out for up to two months with a knee injury and will miss the start of the season. The stopper suffered a medial ligament strain in the Foxes recent pre-season friendly with Burton. Experienced centre-half St. Ledger, 27, who moved to the King Power Stadium from Preston in July last year, is expected to be sidelined for between six to eight weeks. He has been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming friendly in Serbia. West Ham's Joey O'Brien has been called up by manager Giovanni Trapattoni as St Ledger's replacement for the game in Belgrade on Wednesday, August 15th.
