Spurs boss happy with players' performance

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas was delighted with his players' performance on their tour of the USA. The Spurs squad landed in London in the early hours of Wednesday morning and resumed training on Friday, while they will take on Watford in a pre-season friendly on Sunday. Villas-Boas was happy with his players' display in their games in the US that saw them draw with LA Galaxy and Liverpool and beat New York Red Bulls 2-1. "It's been a fantastic 10 days for us," said the Portuguese on Spurs' official website.

Good signs

"Everyone has been so committed to the preparation and fitness. We've had good signs from this tour. "All of the games have had positive signs. "It's not the results that will change our perspective. We had good things and poor things in every match, but the process is evolution and that's what we have to dedicate ourselves to when we get back to England." Tottenham will begin their Premier League campaign with an away game against Newcastle United on Saturday August 18th.
