Lorient midfielder linked with a switch to West Brom

Lorient midfielder Alaixys Romao is aware of speculation linking him with a move to West Brom but does not think his club would want to sell. The Baggies are looking to bring in further reinforcements before the end of the transfer window and have been linked with Romao, as well as Lorient team-mate Arnold Mvuemba. According to reports, Mvuemba has been given the green light to move on this summer and could be set to return to England, having played for Portsmouth earlier in his career. Romao is understood to have been identified as somebody who could strengthen West Brom's midfield, but he is unsure if a deal will materialise. The 28-year-old established himself as a key player for Lorient last season and is staying calm as he waits to see how the rest of the summer unfolds. He said: "I have heard about the rumours, however, I have a contract until 2014 with Lorient. "They have not told me anything about selling me, so let's wait and see."
