Pulis sees offer rejected for winger

Sky Sports understands Wolves have rejected a bid from Stoke for winger Michael Kightly. As revealed by Sky Sports last month, Stoke were lining up a move for Kightly during this summer's transfer window. Stoke boss Tony Pulis is thought to be a big admirer of Kightly and he tabled an undisclosed offer for the midfielder who is entering the final year of his contract at Molineux. However, Wolves have rejected Stoke's initial approach as they try to fend off interest in their best players. Kightly impressed during the second half of last season at Wolves after returning at Christmas following a successful spell on loan at Watford. It remains to be seen if Stoke will come back with a new, improved offer for the 26-year-old, who scored for Wolves at the Britannia Stadium last season.
