Ludovic Giuly will once again be gracing Ligue 1 in 2012/13, with the veteran midfielder having penned a one-year contract with Lorient.
The 36-year-old spent last season with Monaco, having re-joined the principality club for a second spell as they look to clamber back into the top tier of French football.
He was, however, frozen out of the first-team picture once Claudio Ranieri inherited the managerial reins and has been allowed to move on.
Lorient have launched a successful swoop for his services, with his vast experience considered to be a useful asset.
Giuly has made 384 Ligue 1 appearances over the course of a distinguished career which has seen him turn out for Lyon, Monaco, Barcelona, Roma and Paris St Germain.
The former France international is looking forward to offering his assistance to Lorient next term, with the club determined to avoid being dragged into another relegation dogfight.
"It's a club that suits me because they take joy in the way they play the game here," said Giuly.
