Sky Sports understands Swansea have made an approach for West Brom striker Simon Cox.
Cox's future at West Brom has been the subject of speculation all summer with a host of clubs chasing his signature.
Baggies boss Steve Clarke revealed last weekend they had received a bid from an unnamed club, thought to be Blackburn Rovers, for Cox.
Blackburn have been leading the race for the Republic of Ireland international with Rovers manager Steve Kean keen to land Cox as he looks to mount a bid for promotion back to the Premier League.
Celtic have also been credited with an interest in the former Swindon man, but it now appears Swansea have thrown their hat into the ring for the 25-year-old.
West Brom are thought to be willing to offload Cox as he is well down the pecking order at The Hawthorns and Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is hoping to beat off Blackburn and Celtic to snap up the forward.
