Pablo Zabaleta says Manchester City team-mate Carlos Tevez is ready to put last season's controversial campaign behind him and push on with the club this term.
Tevez missed a large chunk of City's Premier League title-winning season after going AWOL in his native Argentina following a bust-up with manager Roberto Mancini.
However, the striker returned to help his club lift the trophy and compatriot Zabaleta believes he can shine for City when the new campaign gets underway.
The defender said: "We are all trying to forget what happened last season.
"Carlos has been fantastic in training. He's been prepared to work hard for the team and with his attitude and effort, that's good for us.
"We know how important he can be and the way he is playing he'll help us to more success. It's good for me and Sergio (Aguero) too - the Three Amigos. I really enjoy having them both here, it's great."
Tevez and fellow Argentinian Aguero only played together seven times last season but Zabaleta believes they can form a dangerous strike partnership.
He added: "Their partnership at the end of last season was fantastic. They are really happy together and that's good news for the team.
"They are both looking forward to the season."
