Wigan could lose out on Real Mallorca man Ivan Ramis after the defender revealed he is the subject of a 'new and very interesting offer' amid speculation linking him with West Ham.
Sky Sports reported earlier this week the Latics had stepped up their attempt to sign the Spanish centre-back by increasing their bid to around €4.5million.
But the 27-year-old says another side have come in with an offer which has topped Wigan's.
Ramis has been linked with a host of clubs including Everton, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Celtic but speculation suggests it is the Hammers who are trying to hijack the Latics' swoop.
He told the Daily Mirror: "I have played my last match for Mallorca because there is a new and very interesting offer for me.
"Wigan is not the best proposition for me."
