Birmingham boss Lee Clark is in a positive frame of mind ahead of his first season as a Championship manager.
The 39-year-old took control at St Andrews following Chris Hughton departure to Norwich and is pleased with his pre-season preparations to date.
Clark said: "We're getting all kinds of things out of it so far.
"Different formations, trying new ideas, individual performances, team performances, what we do when we have the ball, what we do when we haven't got the ball.
"There are one or two areas we still need to brush up on, but things are going positively."
