Danny Batth is determined to show the Wolves fans what they have been missing on his year away from Molineux.
The highly-rated defender spent the whole of last season on-loan to Sheffield Wednesday where he helped the Yorkshire side to promotion from League One.
And now he is hoping to face his former teammates with Wolves who are also in the Championship after their relegation from the Premier League.
But first the 21-year-old Batth has to convince new Wolves boss Stale Solbakken he is ready for a first team place.
"I think that it is obviously a fresh start for both me and the rest of the players and on the back of last season I feel that it has come at the right time for me," said Batth.
"Last year was a big year for me with the promotion and playing all the games that I did at Sheffield Wednesday, so I want to keep that going this year and do a good job for Wolves.
"I have come back with a good year of experience under my belt and that should stand me in good stead this season.
"I don't think I was given a fair chance before I went to Sheffield Wednesday, but the loan spell has done the right thing for me and given me the chance to show what I can do for the new gaffer during pre-season."
