Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has given indication he is ready to complete the signings of Edinho Junior and Paulo Jorge.
The teenagers have been on trial at the Ewood Park club and reports have claimed they have already both passed medicals and agreed three-year contracts.
Kean has been keen to bring in youngsters this summer to complement his experienced squad members as Blackburn seek an immediate return to the Premier League.
And the Blackburn boss, who has already signed Portuguese duo Fabio Nunes and seasoned striker Nuno Gomes, appears impressed by Portuguese top-flight side Olhanense striker Edinho.
"He's got a vast amount of talent," Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We've known about him for a while.
"You can't have too many good young ones."
Kean is also a fan of Portugal Under 19 international Jorge and has compared him to AC Milan's former World Cup-winning midfielder Gennaro Gattuso.
"He doesn't look his age. He looks much older and shows a maturity beyond his years," said the Scot. "He is like a young Gattuso."
