Doncaster manager Dean Saunders is hoping to add another player to his squad this week ahead of the upcoming season.
After his side's 3-3 friendly draw at Bradford, Saunders told the Doncaster Star that he had spoken to a defender about becoming the club's fifth summer signing.
He said: "He's promised me an answer [on Monday]."
Meanwhile, Saunders has also said he is in contract talks with 20-year-old Kyle Bennett, who is attracting interest from Crawley.
Saunders is delighted with Bennett's contribution in pre-season and is determined to keep him.
He added: "He's come back looking really good and he's causing some damage."
