Algerian full-back committed to proving his worth

Djamel Mesbah has sought to bring an end to the speculation regarding his future by stating his desire to earn a regular role at AC Milan. The Algeria international linked up with the Rossoneri in January, penning a four-and-a-half-year contract. Just six months into his time at the San Siro, it is being reported that he could soon be on the move once again. The 27-year-old full-back is said to be attracting interest from England, France and from within Serie A.

Reputations

Mesbah is flattered to be linked with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Marseille and Torino, but has made it clear that he sees his immediate future in Milan. "It is flattering when you hear about teams with big reputations being interested in you and I am grateful to be linked with all of those teams," said the highly-rated left-back. "However, I want to stay with AC Milan and fight to be in the starting line-up. "I love Milan and I feel very happy here."
