La Liga clubs reach agreement for Argentina star

Valencia are close to sealing the capture of Fernando Gago from Real Madrid after revealing that a deal has been agreed. The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and spent last season on-loan at Roma. He was widely expected to secure a permanent move away from the Spanish capital this summer and the local media are reporting that a fee of five million euros has been agreed with Primera Liga rivals Valencia. It is also being reported that the former Boca Juniors star will sign a four-year contract with Los Che, who will play in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing third last campaign. Though they did not confirm any details, the club announced via their official Twitter feed that an agreement had been reached between both club and player, meaning a move is not far away. "Fernando Gago arrives this evening at the Hotel Valencia Palace after a pre-agreement was reached between Valencia, Real Madrid and the player himself," the club confirmed.
