Blackburn boss Steve Kean has confirmed midfielder Steven N'Zonzi wants to leave the club.
N'Zonzi signed a five-year contract at Ewood Park in 2010 but Rovers were relegated to the Championship last season.
And Kean has admitted the 23-year-old Frenchman wants to leave Blackburn and did not join his team-mates at their pre-season training camp in Austria.
"He's asked for a transfer, hence why he never went to Austria," said Kean.
"He doesn't want to play for the club any longer. I've had meetings with his father and he wants to play elsewhere.
"We'll be listening to offers but as it stands he remains under contract and we haven't had any offers at all."
Blackburn have lost a number of key players over the last 12 months but have also made moves in the transfer market this summer, bringing in Danny Murphy, Leon Best and Nuno Gomes.
Junior Hoilett is expected to become the next big name to leave the club but Kean does not anticipate the exodus continuing much longer.
He added: "It will be natural that we might lose one or two but it won't be six or seven that we're going to be losing. We're not actively trying to move anybody on."
