Paris St Germain full-back Maxwell cannot wait to be reunited with Zlatan Ibrahimovic - a player he rates among the best in Europe.
Ibrahimovic is on the verge of finalising a €20million (£15.7m) deal to join the big-spending French side from AC Milan.
That would see the 30-year-old Swedish striker link up with Maxwell for the fourth time, having previously played together at Ajax, Inter Milan and Barcelona.
And the Brazilian defender believes PSG are acquiring a player to rival Lionel Messi as one of the best around.
The 30-year old told L'Equipe TV: "With his height, his physical presence and his technical skills, there is nobody like him.
"Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are the two players who are always battling to be the best in Europe, but they have to pay attention because Zlatan may compete and be the best."
That opinion will raise eyebrows with some as Ibrahimovic has polarised opinion throughout his career.
But Maxwell added: "Sometimes you have an impression of someone, but when you get to know the person for real he is completely different.
"He is very loyal to his friends and his family and he is a very good guy."
