Juventus have confirmed their interest in Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic - even though the Viola insist he is not for sale.
The 22-year-old Montenegro international enjoyed an impressive 2011-12 campaign and has emerged as an alternative signing to Arsenal's Robin van Persie for the Bianconeri.
Juve sporting director Beppe Marotta has indicated that Jovetic is a target but stressed that Fiorentina may have no interest in doing a deal.
"We like Jovetic", Marotta told the Italian press. "But he's a Fiorentina player and they have the right to keep him.
"But he is the profile of player we are looking for. He's an interesting young player with real value and technical qualities that would be good for us. But I can't say more.
"We know where we are and what we must do. It's impossible thinking about negotiating with players who cannot be transferred."
Juventus remain among the favourites to sign Van Persie after the Dutchman announced he would not be signing a new contract with the Gunners earlier this month.
