Sky Sports understands Al-Gharrafa have made a bid for West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie.
The cash-rich Qatar-based outfit are readying a lucrative deal as they bid to tempt the player away from The Hawthorns.
While content in the Midlands, it is thought Odemwingie is open to the idea of a possible move to the Middle East.
West Brom are considering the offer on the table but are understood to want to line-up a replacement before sanctioning any departures.
At the start of the month new Baggies boss Steve Clarke spoke of his desire to keep Odemwingie at the club.
However, the Nigeria international has previously made no secret of his ambition to play for a club ready to compete for silverware - with Al-Gharrafa the first over the summer to make a serious bid for his services.
