Sky Sports understands Aberdeen hot-shot Fraser Fyvie is undergoing a medical at Wigan ahead of a move to the DW Stadium.
As exclusively revealed by Sky Sports last week, Wigan have lined up a move to land the highly-rated midfielder ahead of a number of other Premier League rivals.
Fyvie's contract at Aberdeen expires in December and with the youngster rejecting a new deal the club have reluctantly decided to listen to offers for him.
Fulham have been long-term admirers of Fyvie and saw a bid rejected for the 19-year-old in the January transfer window, but Wigan have now jumped to the head of the queue for the Scotland youth international.
Aberdeen have now given Fyvie permission to hold talks and undergo a medical at Wigan ahead of sealing a switch to Roberto Martinez's men.
Martinez has enjoyed success in raiding the Scottish transfer market with the likes of James McCarthy, James McArthur, Shaun Maloney, Conor Sammon and Gary Caldwell all making moves to the DW Stadium, and it appears Fyvie is set to be the latest new arrival.
