Charlton boss wants two players for each position
Charlton boss Chris Powell has dismissed rumours that defender Chris Solly could be set to leave The Valley this summer.
Questions have been raised about Solly's future after the Addicks snared right-back Lawrie Wilson from Stevenage earlier this month.
However, Powell insists strength in depth will be key for the newly-promoted side and he has no intention of letting Solly go.
"Every manager wants two players for every position and that is how I see it," Powell told the South London Press.
Tenterhooks
"We all ran out of superlatives for Chris Solly last year - and he's going nowhere as far as I'm concerned.
"I know last season I was almost on tenterhooks that Chris wouldn't get injured because I didn't really have anyone else - I didn't want to put Michael Morrison out there and Andy Hughes was carrying an injury.
"I'm comfortable now that I've got two players who can fit in seamlessly there."
