Duo land Exeter trial

Exeter have taken Elliott Chamberlain and Stephen Brogan on trial and manager Paul Tisdale is confident they will bolster his ranks.

Striker Chamberlain was released by Leicester this summer and is currently without a club, while midfielder Brogan, formerly of Rotherham, currently plays for Blue Square Bet North side Stalybridge Celtic. Tisdale has already signed seven new players this summer as the Grecians aim to make an immediate return to League One, yet the influx may not stop there. He told the Western Morning News: "We have a chap called Elliott Chamberlain, who is a Welsh Under-21 international. He left Leicester last year. He has come in for a couple of weeks and we have a chap called Stephen Brogan, who was playing non-League last year and has previously been with Rotherham. "He was a good young player but had a bad injury. He is on the way back up again and had a very good season at Stalybridge last year and played for the England C team. I said to him that when he was back and firing again I would give him an opportunity to come here and he has chosen to do that. "Both of those players are attacking players and there may be one or two more signings. It will depend on the type of person available rather than a specific position."
