Eljero Elia is looking forward to reacquainting himself with the Bundesliga after joining Werder Bremen and is targeting an international recall.
The Dutch forward saw Bremen strike a deal with Juventus over the weekend, but the deal only went through on Tuesday.
He has, however, now been cleared to join up with his new team-mates at their summer training camp.
Elia, who took in two years with Hamburg prior to heading for Italy, cannot wait to get going and believes regular games at Bremen will allow him to push for a recall to the Holland squad.
"I know all about this league, which is one of the best in the world with its full stadia and a very strong competition at a high level," said the 25-year-old.
"I would like to make a quick impression here and recommend myself for a return to the national team with my performances for Werder."
Elia missed out on a place in Holland's Euro 2012 plans after making just four appearances for Juventus last season.
He has, however, shown in the past that he has the ability to be a top international performer and Bremen's director of sport Klaus Allofs is delighted to have secured his services.
He said: "We are pleased that he now belongs to Werder Bremen.
"He is now taking part in training."
