Veteran Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen is determined to win his place back from Lee Grant after signing a new contract at Turf Moor.

Jensen has made over 300 appearances during his time with the Clarets, but the Dane featured only four times in the Championship last season.

The 37-year-old has now penned a one-year contract extension and has been awarded a testimonial, but insists he has lost none of his ambition in the twilight of his career.

"I'm not here just for a testimonial," Jensen told the club's official website. "I'm here to fight with all I can to get back into the side.

"I always see myself a first-choice goalkeeper, but Granty has done really well since he's been here. Both of us have to fight for one place and that's what we'll do.

"It's a great club so I am very, very happy. There were one or two bits and bobs to sort out but it's all done now and I have a testimonial year to look forward to."
