Newly-promoted Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of Japan international Takashi Inui from Bochum.
Inui has signed a contract until June 2015 for a reported transfer fee of £1.1million.
The 24-year-old midfielder made an impact in his first season in Germany, scoring seven goals in 30 games for Bochum and is targeting more success as he steps up to play in the Bundesliga.
"I am pleased to join Eintracht Frankfurt," Inui told the club's official website. "The club tried very hard to sign me.
"I have the feeling that I will be able to achieve a lot of good with Eintracht Frankfurt."
Eintracht Frankfurt general manager Bruno Hubner said: "Takashi Inui has signed a three-year deal with our club. We are pleased to have completed his signing.
"His deal is valid for the top division but also for any season in the second tier."
Although Hubner was happy to confirm the arrival of Inui, he was keen to downplay talk of a move for Inter Milan's Luca Caldirola with talented right-back Sebastian Jung going the other way.
"Sebastian Jung is under contract with our club. There is no truth in this," Hubner told Frankfurter Neuen Press when asked about the 22-year-old former Germany Under 21 international.
"Luca Caldirola is a talented player. He is of good quality. But at this point in time we are looking for experienced players."
Caldirola is an Italy Under 21 international who spent last season on loan at Brescia.
