Beattie and Santana join the Tynecastle exodus

Hearts have confirmed that Suso Santana and Craig Beattie will be joining the list of players to leave the club during the summer. Ian Black, David Obua, Stephen Elliot and Gary Glen have already departed as part of significant cuts to the Scottish Cup winners' wage budget. Beattie only joined Hearts in February on a short-term deal after leaving Swansea City and he scored three goals in nine appearances. The striker will be remembered for his exuberant celebrations after scoring an injury-time winner in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic. A reported move to South Africa fell through last week, while there are rumours of interest from China and from Rangers, should the newco start next season without a transfer embargo in the First Division. Spanish midfielder Suso made almost 70 appearances for the Jambos after joining in 2009 and recovered from long-term injury problems to help Hearts win the Scottish Cup last season and played in the final success over Hibernian.
