Sky Sports understands former Arsenal defender Gavin Hoyte is poised to join Dagenham & Redbridge.
Hoyte is available on a free transfer after leaving Arsenal at the end of last season.
The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks at Arsenal and made four first-team appearances during his time at the Emirates.
The full-back has enjoyed spells on loan at Watford, Brighton, Lincoln and AFC Wimbledon over the last few years after finding his first-team chances limited at Arsenal.
A number of clubs were thought to be chasing Hoyte on a free transfer, but John Still has managed to lure him to Dagenham with the defender expected to sign a two-year deal at Victoria Road.
