Sky Sports understands Everton, West Brom and Celtic are among a host of clubs keen on landing Swindon Town youngster Louis Thompson.
The 17-year-old rising star was fast-tracked in the Robins' first-team set-up last season by Italian manager Paolo Di Canio.
The second year scholar, who made his debut in the FA Cup against Leicester in January, is being backed to have a big future in the game.
Thompson has previously interested newly-promoted Southampton and is currently training with Swindon on their pre-season tour of Italy.
The youngster's talent has not gone under the radar with Premier League duo Everton and West Brom mulling over a move, although Celtic could pip the pair to the midfielder's signature.
