Korey Smith: Pens a one-year contract extension at Carrow Road
Midfielder Korey Smith has signed a one-year contract extension with Norwich City.
The Hatfield-born player was discovered plying his trade on the Sunday league park pitches and made his City debut as an 18-year-old.
He spent part of last season on-loan at Championship club Barnsley where he made an instant impact, but he is now eager to push his claim for a place in the Canaries first-team under new boss Chris Hughton.
Smith told the club's official website: "It feels good to sign. The last three years have been great for the club and I'm looking forward to getting involved with the sqaud.
"Chris Hughton coming in means it's a fresh start for everyone, and for someone like me who went out on loan, it's a good chance to impress in pre-season, so I'm looking forward to getting out onto the pitch.
"I went to Barnsley on loan last season and really enjoyed it. It was a good experience to work under a different manager, with different players, and in a different environment."
