Inverness teenager Martin Laing will make the step-up from the U19 side next season after signing a professional contract with the SPL outfit.
The 19-year-old is a product of the club's youth system and impressed manager Terry Butcher and assistant Maurice Malpas with his performances for the U19s last season.
Caley Thistle have already lost nine players from last season's squad so the addition of fresh blood is of welcome relief to boss Butcher, with pre-season training due to start at the end of this week.
He joins fellow local youngsters Nick Ross and Shane Sutherland in the senior Inverness squad ahead of the new campaign.
"Martin is a clever lad and a good player who has made excellent progress through our youth set-up and we're pleased to have signed him on a first-team contract," said Butcher.
"The lad has worked to get himself into this situation and he joins the rest of the first-team for the start of pre-season on Friday."
