Experienced defender Bernard Mendy has returned to French football and penned a two-year contract with Brest.
The former France international began his career on the books at Caen, before earning a high-profile switch to Paris St Germain.
He took in a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers in 2002/03, and secured a permanent move to England in 2008 when he joined Hull City.
Two years with the Tigers followed, before he was released.
Mendy spent last season with Danish side OB Odense, where he proved that he still has what it takes to compete at the top level.
He is delighted to now be heading home, with Brest having convinced him that now is the right time to do so.
"It is a real pleasure to be back in Ligue 1," Mendy told the club's official website.
"Brest were following me for two years and I have finally accepted their offer."
