Sky Sports understands Leicester City have made a bid for Hull City's Robert Koren as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
The Foxes are believed to have tabled an offer in the region of £500,000 as they look to lure the Slovenia midfielder to the King Power Stadium.
Nigel Pearson knows Koren well from his time at the helm of the Tigers and is keen to work with him again in the Midlands.
Leicester will be expected to mount a promotion challenge for the Premier League this term having disappointed last season when they missed out on the play-offs.
With Steve Bruce having only recently taken the helm at the KC Stadium, it remains to be seen how he will react to the offer for Koren.
The 31-year-old joined the Tigers on a free transfer from West Brom in August 2010 and was an integral member of their side last term, making 43 appearances.
