Swansea City and Wigan Athletic are leading the chase to sign Middlesbrough full-back Tony McMahon, Sky Sports understands.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at The Riverside and is now considering his options.
Boro would like him to stay and have opened talks with the right-back, who has come through the club's famed academy.
However, with Boro's finances as they are, they are likely to struggle to match terms which are on offer in the Premier League.
With that in mind both Swansea and Wigan have emerged as contenders for his signature.
McMahon has over 100 games for Boro under his belt and in the last few seasons has even emerged as a dead-ball specialist.
