Midfielder looking forward to working with Mackay again

Jordon Mutch says he is 'excited' by the prospect of working with Malky Mackay again after joining Cardiff City from Championship rivals Birmingham City. The midfielder signed a three-year contract with Cardiff on Friday after an undisclosed fee was agreed between the two clubs, who both lost in last season's play-off semi-finals. Mutch enjoyed a loan spell under Mackay at Watford and the 20-year-old is hoping a move to the Cardiff City Stadium will eventually result in Premier League football. "Cardiff City are an ambitious club and I know Malky from my time at Watford," Mutch told the club's official website. "I enjoyed my time there and hopefully this season will be a good one for us. He can keep on progressing me as a player and I'm really excited by that. He's a great man and a great manager. "I also know Don (Cowie), Tayls (Andrew Taylor) and David Kerslake here at Cardiff and I can't wait to get going. "We've got a very good stadium and I've seen on Sky Sports News the other things happening here. I'm an ambitious player and maybe after next season we can make the step up to the Premier League. It's where we want to be and where I want to play."
