Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins says there has been no approach for Middlesbrough striker Marvin Emnes since Brendan Rodgers left.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins says there has been no approach for Middlesbrough striker Marvin Emnes since Brendan Rodgers left as manager.
Emnes has been a long-term target for Swansea after impressing at the Liberty Stadium during a loan spell during the 2010/11 season.
The Swans did make an enquiry for the Dutchman at the end of last term amid reports that a £3million offer was made for the 24-year-old.
However, Jenkins insists that, since Michael Laudrup replaced Rodgers as Swansea boss, there has been no renewed bid to capture Emnes.
"We made an enquiry with Middlesbrough six weeks ago regarding Marvin's availability," Jenkins told the club's
official website. "We needed to test the water.
"But that was six weeks ago when Brendan Rodgers was the manager. We have certainly not made an enquiry since then.
"Having just appointed a new manager in Michael Laudrup, all current and new options are being assessed. Michael, with the help of the recruitment staff, will decide over the next few weeks the direction we take regarding potential new signings."
