Fiorentina have rubbished claims that Chelsea have made an offer for their brilliant young forward Stevan Jovetic.
The 22-year-old Montenegrin has emerged as one of the best young players in Serie A after he moved to Italy in 2008 from Partizan Belgrade.
Reports in Italy have claimed that Chelsea had launched a £20million move for Jovetic, who bagged 14 goals for the Tuscan giants last term.
But their sporting director Daniele Prade has strongly denied any such offer has been made.
"Absolutely not, it's not true," Prade told Radio 1.
"We do not know anything about an offer from Chelsea or any other team, Italian or otherwise.
"We are waiting for the lad to return on July 1 and we will see what he has to say to us. But the rest is just gossip."
Jovetic has refused to comment on his immediate future in recent weeks when quizzed about the situation.
