Sky Sports understands Burnley are weighing up a move for former Bolton defender Paul Robinson.
The experienced 33-year-old is available on a free transfer and could make the move between rivals from the Reebok Stadium to Turf Moor.
Several other Championship clubs are also keen but Burnley are understood to be leading the race.
Robinson began his career at Watford before joining West Brom in 2003, while he also spent time on loan at Leeds in 2012.
Burnley boss Eddie Howe thinks Robinson could prove a good signing to help in the next Championship campaign.
