Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has denied any interest in Fiorentina ace Stevan Jovetic.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a big-money away from the Viola and Napoli were thought to be among those clubs interested.

But De Laurentiis says the club do not need another forward, having already got Edinson Cavani, Edu Vargas and Lorenzo Insigne, as well as signing Goran Pandev on a permanent deal after last season's loan from Inter Milan.

He told Radio Marte: "I don't think Jovetic is a Napoli target, also because we've signed Pandev and we don't need more strikers.

"The newspapers make so many names but I I've always said we would strengthen the defence, midfield and one of the sides.

"Another forward would create problems in the locker room, I know that some journalists would be happy, but we already have Cavani, Pandev, Vargas and Insigne."
