Harry Hooman has penned a new one-year deal with Cheltenham to become the League Two club's first signing in the off season.
The 21-year-old defender, who arrived from Shrewsbury last summer, was out of contract this month but becomes the first player offered fresh terms by the Gloucestershire outfit to commit his future. Hooman made just four starts and three substitute appearances for Town last term but is already planning to make a greater impact next season. He told the club's official website: "It's great to be staying for another year and I can't wait to get started again. "I really enjoyed my first season with the club, although with the team doing so well it was a bit frustrating waiting for a chance. Next season I want to be pushing for the first team and to kick on a bit. I want to keep moving forward and get some more first-team games under my belt." Scott Brown, Steve Elliott, Jeff Goulding, Bagasan Graham, Keith Lowe and Luke Summerfield all have until the end of June to make a decision over their futures having also been offered new deals by Cheltenham.
