Whites defender attracting plenty of interest

Sky Sports understands Leeds defender Aidy White is a target for a number of foreign clubs. White is out of contract at Leeds and is expected to leave Elland Road this summer after failing to agree a new deal. A number of Premier League sides have been linked with a move for White, while Scottish champions Celtic have also been credited with holding an interest in the 20-year-old. As White is under the age of 24, Leeds would be entitled to a compensation fee if were he to leave Elland Road for a rival English team, but if he was to move abroad the compensation fee would be circa €400,000 euros The news has alerted several sides from overseas who have now joined the chase for versatile performer White, who caught the eye in the Republic of Ireland's recent Euro 2013 qualifier against Italy. French side Lille, who signed Joe Cole on a productive loan spell from Liverpool last season, are thought to be keeping tabs on White's situation, while German outfit Werder Bremen are also thought to be admirers of the player.
