Turkey international signs for Bundesliga club on a three-year deal

Bundesliga side Stuttgart have completed the signing of Turkey international forward Tunay Torun on a three-year deal. The Hamburg-born player joins Stuttgart from Hertha Berlin on a free transfer after the club were relegated. He was originally on a deal to stay at the Olympiastadion until June 2014, but under the terms of his contract, Hertha's relegation means he was able to switch clubs for free under the Bosman ruling. The 22-year-old forward netted four goals in 20 Bundesliga appearances for Hertha and has five international caps for Turkey. He told the club's official website: "VfB Stuttgart is a big club with a lot of history, too. I am therefore really pleased to feature for the club in the new season. "I like to push forward with my personal development and I am glad to reunite at VfB Stuttgart with manager Bruno Labbadia. "Bruno Labbadia had been my manager at times during my spell at Hamburger SV and he had been helping me a lot in my development during those times then."

Future hopes

Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic said: "We are really pleased Tunay Torun has decided in favour of VfB Stuttgart. "He is a talented player with A-international experience and he can be used in various roles in attack. We are putting some of our future hopes on him in the next three years."
