Billy McKay has committed his future to SPL outfit Inverness for another two years, but Thomas Piermayr is poised to leave the club.

Terry Butcher announced the news on both men on Friday, as he presses ahead with his efforts to ready Caley for the 2012/13 campaign.

McKay, who has represented Northern Ireland at U21 level, has been offered an extension to his deal after just 12 months in Scotland.

He joined Inverness from Northampton last summer and has been rewarded for the 'promise' he displayed during his debut campaign.

"Billy has agreed to extend his contract for a period of two years," Butcher told the club's official website.

"We're delighted he has pledged his future to us. He showed good promise in his first SPL season and we think his best is yet to come."

While McKay will form part of Caley's plans next season, former Austria U21 international Piermayr has turned down the offer of a new deal after expressing a desire to move on.

Butcher added: "Thomas has indicated that he wants to play his football in Germany so we wish him all the best."
