Derby County have confirmed two offers from a rival Championship club for striker Chris Maguire have been rejected.
Maguire only joined Derby last summer from Aberdeen, but Nigel Clough confirmed last week that he is one of five players who can leave Pride Park this summer.
The 23-year-old scored just twice in eight games for the Rams before netting three times in 11 appearances during a loan spell at Portsmouth.
A Derby spokesman said: "We have received two bids from a Championship club in the past week for Chris Maguire and both have been rejected."
Reports suggest that Sheffield Wednesday, who have won promotion back to the Championship, are the club to have failed with the offers for Maguire.
Owls boss Dave Jones is busy putting together a squad for next season and has already agreed deals for former England goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and Oldham Athletic full-back Kieran Lee.
