Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni is confident Shay Given will be able to return to full training on Wednesday.
Given, who sat out last weekend's win over Bosnia with a knee injury, will again miss out as Ireland face a Tuscan Select XI in a warm-up game on Tuesday during their pre-tournament training camp in Italy.
The Aston Villa man was able to train away from the rest of the squad on Monday along with other injury doubt John O'Shea and Trapattoni is hopeful the pair will be fit in time for next Monday's final warm-up game with Hungary.
"Shay Given is alright for Wednesday (training). After tomorrow, John O'Shea will be 90% ready to play," said Trapattoni.
Darren O'Dea sat out training on Monday with a thigh problem and he will not be risked for the game on Tuesday.
"He has a little bit of pain. He wished to make training but we advised him to stay quiet," added Trapattoni.
"It is no problem. He wants to do training but it is better that he rests, so he won't play."
