Sky Sports understands Preston are eyeing a move for former England goalkeeper Richard Wright.

Wright is available on a free transfer after leaving Ipswich at the end of the season following a third spell at Portman Road.

The 34-year-old made just one Championship appearance for Ipswich this term and he is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football.

North End boss Graham Westley is keen to reshape his squad and has been busy so far in the transfer market, with former Arsenal and Everton custodian Wright on his list of targets.

Westley is keen to bring in a new goalkeeper to provide cover and competition for Thorsten Stuckmann having placed Iain Turner, Andreas Arestidou and Dominic Comrie on the transfer list at Deepdale.
