Edu hopes Rangers keep US duo

Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu believes the club should keep hold of compatriots Carlos Bocanegra and Alejandro Bedoya.

I see no reason why Bocanegra would not stay, claims midfielder

Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu believes the club should keep hold of compatriots Carlos Bocanegra and Alejandro Bedoya. The administration-hit Gers could be forced to sell off assets in order to raise money in the summer. But Edu feels his fellow Americans should be among those that stay at the club. The 26-year-old, quoted in the Daily Record, said: "Carlos has been a rock for us. He has to be right up there as one of our players of the season. "Carlos talked to me before he came but having played in England he knew all about Rangers because they are a massive club. "It's a real family club and he feels part of it. I would see no reason why he wouldn't be excited to stay. "Alejandro didn't play as often as he would have liked but I'm sure next season he will take his chance."
