Chelsea midfielder Ramires admits he is disappointed at being overlooked by Brazil.
The 25-year-old has not played for his country for over a year, despite previously being a regular.
Ramires, who has enjoyed a brilliant end to the season with Chelsea, insists he will keep battling to get back into the national fold.
"I never wanted to be out of the national team," he told Lancenet.
"But I have not been called for a year, so will keep working on the pitch rather than talking outside.
"I want to show that I deserve a return to the national team, and when Mano [Menezes, coach] thinks I deserve it then I am sure I will be back."
