Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish is now resigned to Nathaniel Clyne leaving and is waiting to hold talks with clubs interested in the full-back.
Clyne is out of contract in the summer and the highly-rated 21-year-old has been offered a fresh deal to stay at Selhurst Park.
However, the right-back is expected to move on after attracting interest from the Premier League after making over 130 appearances for Palace.
The Championship club will be entitled to compensation for Clyne and Parish is now aiming to agree a fee with any teams keen on a deal.
Parish told the Croydon Advertiser: "We have long since resigned ourselves to Nathaniel wanting to go.
"It is just a matter of talking to those clubs interested in him and agreeing a fee."
Manchester United have previously been linked with a bid for Clyne after he impressed against the Red Devils in the Carling Cup earlier this season.
